Cleveland is located in eastern Pawnee County on the shores of beautiful Keystone Lake.
Known as "The Flag City of Oklahoma," Cleveland boasts a superior quality of life, including an outstanding school system, public library, churches of many denominations, up-to-date police, fire, and ambulance departments and modern medical facilities.
A unique museum sits at the western edge of the city, complete with an old time dental office, post office, and bank.
Municipal parks and recreational facilities are found throughout the city as well as Feyodi Creek Park, located 2 miles southeast, which is owned by the City of Cleveland. A 9-hole golf course and a walking trail across Lake Keystone add to the recreational facilities available.

Our City Government
The City Council employs a city manager, clerk, attorney, and treasurer to manage the affairs of the city. All other positions are employed by the City Manager. Police and Fire Chief positions are approved by the council. The citizens of Cleveland elect the city council. The council meets on the second Monday of each month at city hall, which is located at the corner of Pawnee and Broadway.

Public Safety
Cleveland has seven (7) full-time police officers and eight (8) full-time fire and ambulance personnel. We also have 12 volunteer firemen. All fire and ambulance personnel are certified EMT's.
Cleveland's fire rating for insurance purposes is a Class 7.
Cleveland has an Enhanced Emergency 911 Calling System.
Financial Institutions
There are two banks located in the City of Cleveland - The Cleveland Bank, and American Heritage Bank.

PRINT... Cleveland has been served by one weekly newspaper, The Cleveland American, for the past 76 years. Judged annually against papers of like-size across Oklahoma through the Oklahoma Press Association, The American has been a consistent winner as one of the state's best. The American's strength is found in staying community-oriented..... reporting the news that touches home.
Being just 32 miles from Tulsa, The Tulsa World is the community's daily newspaper link to state and world current events. The World is delivered bright and early each day. Also available is The Daily Oklahoman, Oklahoma City's daily newspaper.
TELEVISION... Cleveland and the surrounding communities are served by Cim-Tel Cable, providing excellent reception to over 135 channels including all major networks as well as premium channels such as HBO, Cinemax, Starz and Encore. Cim-Tel Cable has expanded their service offering to include Internet service. Cim-Tel Cable now brings the world to Cleveland with cimtel.net internet service.
Residents choosing not to use cable TV have easy access to clear viewing through VHF network affiliates 2 (NBC), 6 (CBS), and 8 (ABC) as well as a number of UHF channels in addition to public television, OETA on Channel 11.
RADIO... It's only a matter of taste. Whatever your listening pleasure: Pop, Country, Family, Talk, News, Sports or Tunes of Yesteryear, it's just a turn of the dial. More than 20 stations are based out of Tulsa with numerous others based in surrounding smaller communities providing quality AM, FM & stereo.
Civic and Service Organizations
Cleveland has an active Chamber of Commerce which is dedicated to promoting the town and its businesses. A full-time staff operates the office with is located at 113 North Broadway Street. The phone number is (918)-358-2131. The Chamber has a monthly meeting the first Friday of every month at Noon. Check the Cleveland American for this month's meeting location.
This community has many civic organizations. Rotary Club, Philomathic Study Club, Ministerial Alliance, Friends of the Library, and many sororities, to name a few.

Health Care Facilities
Cleveland Area Hospital is a 20 bed acute care medical facility. The Hospital is a part of the Hillcrest Health Care System.
The hospital also boasts a busy Home Health Department which provides care for the area residents. In addition, the Pawnee County Health Department has a branch office and a Health Clinic located in the hospital complex.
The nursing home in Cleveland was built in 1987. Cleveland Manor Nursing Home is a Beautiful 80 bed facility.
Health Care Professionals practicing in Cleveland are one medical doctor, one internist, two osteopathic physicians, two chiropractors, one optometrist, and three dentists. Various specialists include Internal medicine, cardiology, orthopedic, urology, and OB/Gyn.
Child Care Facilities
Cleveland has one professionally licensed day care facility: Lakeside Child Development Center III. In addition to this there are licensed day care homes which can accommodate 60 more children.
Retirement
Cleveland is very proud of our unique retirement center. It is the Baptist Village Retirement Center and is made up of 50 apartments that vary in size and decor. Some amenities they provide include meals, a beauty and barber shop, a library, and laundry facilities. Chapel services are provided as well as transportation for residents to shop in nearby stores. Our Schools
Cleveland is a Class 3A School with many programs to encourage children to learn. Our teachers are among the best in the state. We have many extra-curricular activities that will involve almost any child and help them to be a part of something special. Some of those programs are football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, wrestling, FFA, FHA, cheerleading, band, chorus, and many others.
